Timetable

J1 broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Normally during the week (Monday through Friday), J1 plays hit JPOP format featuring the hottest hits of all time as well as new releases. It's what we call PURE JPOP. On the weekends, programming shifts to a "retro" format featuring over 3,000 tracks that have been played on J1 in the past decade, but did not make it to the annual charts. There will be block programming on Sunday afternoons (early Monday morning in Asia).

On the air and in promotions, J1 will normally give the time for Pacific (UTC-8 in standard time and UTC-7 in daylight time) and Japan Standard Time (JST, UTC+9). We may also announce time as ACT (ASEAN Common Time) which is used in the Phillipines, Singapore, Thailand as well as Hong Kong and Beijing.
